Gary Moore (born Robert William Gary Moore, 4 April 1952, Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a Northern Irish guitarist and singer. In a career dating back to the 1960s, he has played with artists including Thin Lizzy, BB King,Colosseum II, Greg Lake and the Blues-rock band Skid Row, as well as having a successful solo career. Among many cameo appearances over the years, he performed the lead guitar solo on "She's My Baby" from Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3.

Equipment

Over the years Gary has used numerous guitars. These include - Peter Green's 1959 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst, and the 1950s Gibson Les Paul Junior. He has also used guitars from Charvel, Ibanez, Hamer, Jackson, Heritage, Paul Reed Smith and, as seen in the music video for "Out in the Fields", a SynthAxe. Amplification has generally come from Marshall, although Soldanos and Fender have also been used, as well as transistor-driven Dean Markley units (especially in the studio). He also has used numerous effects over the years. These include; Delay units such as the Roland Space Echo, 555, Overdrive/Booster units such as the BOSS DS-1, Ibanez Tubescreamer variants, Marshall, Bluesbreaker and Guv'nor pedals as well as wah-wah pedals such as the Vox Wah, Dunlop JH1. He appears nowadays to favour Gibson and Fender guitars, through Marshall amplifiers. His choices in effects have remained constant, using an Ibanez TS10 Classic Tubescreamer on many recordings/live shows.

Moore's contribution to music and blues in particular have been recognised in recent years by prestigious commercial endorsements. In 2004-2006 Gary featured in full page advertisements for Marshall's range of reissued classic handwired amplifiers, including classic amplifiers from the 1960s and 1970s, such as the popularly named, "Bluesbreaker combo" — originally made famous by Eric Clapton. Gary was also one of the first artists recognised by Gibson Guitars with a signature model. The Gary Moore Les Paul is not a reproduction of an existing model but a new model, with distinctive lemon sunburst maple cap, the neck is unbound - unusual for a Les Paul but easier to re-fret and play - as is the body, a "Gary Moore" name plate on the truss rod cover and some early model Gibson Burstbucker pick-ups, one with zebra-coils (one black & one white bobbin).

James Patrick Page OBE (born 9 January 1944) is an English guitarist, composer and record producer. He began his career as a studio session guitarist in London and was subsequently a member of The Yardbirds from 1966 to 1968, after which he co-founded the English rock band Led Zeppelin.

Page has been described as "unquestionably one of the all-time most influential, important, and versatile guitarists and songwriters in rock history". In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Page #9 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as a member of The Yardbirds (1992)and once as a member of Led Zeppelin (1995).

· 1959 Fender Telecaster (given to Page by Jeff Beck and repainted with a psychedelic Dragon on it by Page. Played with the Yardbirds, on Led Zeppelin, the early tours (68-69) Also used to record "Stairway To Heaven" solo.

· 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard (No. 2) acquired in 1975, neck was shaved down to match the profile on his #1; after Led Zeppelin broke up, he added four push/pull pots to coil split the humbuckers as well as phase and series switches under the pick guard

· 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard (No. 1) Sold to him by Joe Walsh, modified with a shaved neck (was like that when he got it) and after Led Zeppelin broke up he added one push/pull pot to coil split the bridge humbucker. He was misquoted in a magazine article in the early 80s that stated his #1 was a 1958 model. This myth has been perpetuated through the years and gone into other publications. But it is a myth; #1 was verified by Gibson as a 1959 when they borrowed it to make the 2004-2006 Jimmy Page guitars; his #1 had creme PAF pickups (creme started in 1959 and ended in early 1960) but the bridge pickup died and was replaced with a black 1970s patent pickup; however the guitar does still have the original neck pickup which is a creme PAF. It has a series 2 jack plate (started being used for 1959 and 1960 Les Pauls). The pots also could be used to verify when it was made. Gibson verified that it has 1959 measurements.^[53][54]

During Whole Lotta Love in the movie, you can see the back of the head and there is no volute (meaning it is pre-1970), and other close up pictures have revealed a pancake body (those came along in mid 1969 and went away after 1976); thus with no volute and a pancake body, it must be a mid 1969 Les Paul

Collection

· Jimmy Page is reputed to own over 1,500 guitars. Page revealed this rough estimate to BBC Radio 2 presenter Stuart Maconie in June 2005.

· Due to the fact the guitar was too heavy, one of Jimmy Page's Les Paul Custom "Black Beauty" is now owned by Dan Hawkins of The Darkness.^[59] It is not the same Black Beauty that was stolen from him in 1970.

Signature models

· Gibson released Jimmy Page Signature Les Paul which was discontinued in 1999, then released another version in 2004, which has also been discontinued. The 2004 version included 25 guitars signed by Page, 150 aged by a former Gibson employee (an acknowledged aging 'master'), and 840 'unlimited' production guitars. The Jimmy Page Signature EDS-1275 has been produced by Gibson. Recently, Gibson reproduced Page's 1960 Les Paul Black Beauty, the one stolen from him in 1970, with modern modifications. This guitar was sold in 2008 with a run of 25, again signed by Page, plus an additional 500 unsigned guitars.

Brian Patrick Carroll, better known as Buckethead, is an American musician and songwriter. He has released 26 solo albums and performed on over 50 more. He has also made guest appearances on more than 40 different albums by various artists. His music spans such diverse areas as progressive metal, thrash metal, funk, electronica, jazz, bluegrass, and avant-garde music.

When performing in his theatrical persona, Buckethead used to wear a KFC bucket (emblazoned with an orange bumper sticker that read "funeral" in black block letters) on his head and a plain white costume mask. More recently, he has switched to a plain white bucket no longer bearing the KFC logo. He also incorporates nunchaku, robot dancing, and toy trading into his stage performances. Buckethead's persona represents a character who was "raised by chickens" and has made it his "mission in life to alert the world to the ongoing chicken holocaust in fast-food joints around the globe."

Although a multi-instrumentalist, Buckethead is best known for his electric guitar playing. He has been voted number 8 on a list in GuitarOne magazine of the "Top 20 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time"as well as been included in Guitar World's lists of the "25 all-time weirdest guitarists"as well as the "50 fastest guitarists of all time".

Buckethead performs primarily as a solo artist. He has collaborated extensively with a wide variety of high profile artists such as Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, Iggy Pop, Les Claypool, Serj Tankian, Mike Patton, Viggo Mortensen, and was a member of Guns N' Roses from 2000 to 2004. Buckethead has also written and performed music for major motion pictures, including: Saw II, Ghosts of Mars, Beverly Hills Ninja, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Last Action Hero, and the soundtrack of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.

Brian Carroll began playing guitar at the age of twelve. He has been quoted as saying, however, that he did not begin playing seriously until the following summer, when he moved from Huntington Beach to Claremont. His playing began improving with lessons from various teachers, most notably Paul Gilbert. He began making demo recordings of both his playing as well as his writing styles.
